The thirst and greed for get rich quick schemes has landed this student in trouble after spending his entire school fee trying to gain entry into the Freemasonry brotherhood,the student in question had approached NE time back enquiring about the scheme but we had advised him it's a conman game to pay for an entrance to the fraternity but he went ahead to throw his bait,true to our word the obvious happened,a few months after we talked,he contacted us again and this time,it was I wish I knew story,here we go;
"hi NE as we talked before,im from upcountry but I study at uon main campus,I wanted to join freemasonry and so i did my research online and came across some contacts whom i later called,by that time i was at home so the guy told me that i send him 100k he was very convincing and he also runs various freemason websites so i fell for it(that was last year around Dec i told him I will contact him wen i came back to nai i called him and still told me to send the 0k then he will send me a petition form which i did send, first 50k and he sent it,after that he asked for the remaining 50k n i sent then scanned the forms back to him.that was last Friday,from that time he is not picking up my calls even after sending threat msges to him.i know i acted a fool,but that's wrong he is damaging the reputation of Freemasons who are noble people"
Below are some screenshots of the so called petition that he sent to our email
Our quick investigations reveals that the man behind this scam is one Peter Opiyo(according to Mpesa details) his no is 0727106000,this is how he plays his cards,many people use internet to look for information so he lives on the internet,google his name or number and he will pop up on the search results,as mentioned he runs and owns a dozen of Freemason websites making him look as the general of the game,once you contact him,he will give you instructions on what you need to do in order to gain entry into the brotherhood,the first condition he will give is you have to pay a registration fee then he will send you a petition form,the form is to be filled and sent back to him,registration fee will vary according to the financial status of the target victim,he is good at gauging. After passing this stage,filled the form and all that's when the real games starts,he will keep you delayed talking about forms being processed but if you want yours processed faster you can pay extra fee and with the desperation of most of the targets,they fall in and pay. But what they don't know this is all a big scam,there is no recruitment going on anywhere other than you the victim recruiting him into your pockets. After feeling like he has milked you enough,you get blocked,he knows the fact that you can't report the matter to the police,after all cults are outlawed in the land so at the end of the day he keeps winning.
The victim who narrated his story to NE revealed his reason for wishing to join freemasonry he simply puts it," Just to get enlightened n meet great people and of course make quick and big cash" well his wishes have seen him lose huge chunks of money,he can't face his parents and tell him what exactly happened,how he will deal withthis he knows better,one thing for sure,he got CONNED!! And the conman is on to the next victim. Everybody take precautions.
