James Oswago who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has been arrested alongside three other officials over a Sh1.3 billion tender scandal during the past General Election.

Oswago was picked up on Tuesday
afternoon by Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission detectives who have been pursuing the matter since March.

Officials at Integrity Centre confirmed that Oswago was being held alongside deputy commissioner Wilson Shollei, Willy Kamanga and a Mr Karisa.

The four were picked up in Naivasha where they were attending a workshop and driven to
the EACC headquarters in NairobI.

They are all expected to appear in court on Wednesday to face relevant charges.

Probability that Oswago and the team will spend tonight in the cold corridors of police cells.
