A section of  Muslim youths in Mombasa on Friday afternoon staged a highly charged demonstrations against the police whom they accuse for conducting an extra judicial killings upon a cleric and some other three people.

Its however unclear as to who is responsible for the professionally executed assassination that went down on Thursday night along Mombasa-Malindi road.

Police have distanced themselves from the killings saying they are not responsible and are investigating the murder to identify the executioners.

The slain cleric is said to be preaching at a mosque that has been identified by the national intelligence unit as a hub for mentoring youths into joining the Al Shabaab a strong terrorism group in the country.

He is also said to be an accomplice to slain cleric Abud Rugo who has been largely mentioned in intelligence reports as an Al Shabaab sympathiser who mentored many youths from Majengo into joining the jihads training in Somalia.

The retaliatory attack on the police following the killings of four has ended in salvation army church in Mombasa getting torched. The rioting youths had set the church on fire,the police moved quickly to salvage the inferno.

The riots didn't stop at that and Majengo area,Lights,Bombolulu became battle fields. Motorists were stoned by the youths,tyres burnt on road to barricade cars turned upside down.

Extreme reports of undressing ladies is also getting in with one lady stripped off because she was putting on a Jeans. Shops have been looted as well.

The police beefed up security at the Likoni ferry which is a link tunnel used and flocked by thousands daily,it is a vulnerable and terror attack friendly zone so the police took precautions.

  2. So what did they archieve by attacking the innocent! & what does another religion got to do with it!!!? They have to come very clear on whom they are targeting! The police, innocent citizens or another religion.
