On the night 26th June,the class seven pupil was walking home after attending her grandfather's burial in Tingolo, Busia,out of the darks a group of young men pounced on her before both continuously defiling her in a gang rape ordeal.
Left to die, In an attempt to conceal their crime, the attackers threw her
into a disused pit latrine. She survived with a spinal injury and
was sheltered at the Gynocare
Fistula Centre in Eldoret for several weeks as her family sought to raise money for her treatment.
The teenager,is now confined to a wheel-chair, developed obstetric fistula as a result of the rape. She is unable to control urine and stool.
The saddest part is that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are walking Scott free,according to records,the three known rapists were only subjected to a punishment of slashing the grass at Tingolo police station before being set free three months back.
The gal has her dreams shuttered and justice denied as well. However her story was run on daily nation few days back and many people have offered to help her meet the medical expenses for correctional surgeries and other treatments but sadly will be confined to the rapists who had thrown her to the deep pit latrine to die after gang raping her.
Doctors estimate the treatment
will cost Sh600,000. Those
