Her weired acquired fame has however opened fortune baskets for some people who have gone quick to rip off her agony. It has been revealed that many phone companies are selling her voice as ringtones and call back tones without paying her royalties,river road pirates haven't spared her either.
But when the fool gets wiser,the wise are always in trouble,Akinyi has now copyrighted her voice and will Sue anyone using her voice for commercial usage without paying her royalties,she is backed by key scholars who think she has been taken advantage of.
In the village people see her as a Rich woman ever since she met Uhuru Kenyatta when he came to Kano for the burial of late KNUT Sec.Gen Fred Okutah
The “…Sirikali tafadhali niko saidi mbaya kabisaa…” is said to have been given good money and bought piece of land as well. She has repeatedly been recycling her slogan since 2002
