UN Security Council has rejected Kenya's application for the deferral of  ICC trial against Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto for one year.

The decision was arrived upon after voting in which 7 UN Security Council members supported Kenya's deferral request. 8 abstained, among them USA, Britain and France non voted against the request.

Amongst members who voted for AU's resolution includes: Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Morocco, Togo, Rwanda & Pakistan voted in favour of the deferral of Kenyan trials at The Hague.

The president and his deputy will now be subjected to trials as expected,this comes few hours only after research results indicated majority of Kenyans preferred to have the president attend the trials to clear his name.
