Abbas is undoubtedly one of the best rap and hiphop talents that has been bred off Kenya. His talent is acceptable across the region, his bad boy and gangsta hiphop appeals much to the relevant audience. However, the rapper who at a time was the hottest selling rapper has in the recent past been wrapped in financial quagmire.

The K-South famed artists has now been reduced to a struggling artist, ready to get with what's available. A close friend and one who is well versed with his dealings, talked exclusively to Nairobi Exposed to give the untold story of a hot talent getting frozen ordeal,"things are bad for Doobeez, like any other artist who has been in the industry for  long,it is hard to maintain your heat especially with new artists checking in and displacing the older" says the friend.

Abbas had ventured into various businesses to supplement his career some includes butchery, bakery and designing but like any other they haven't been doing all that well.

"He is now reduced to an upcoming artist calibre, doing cheap shows in local pubs, hosting shows as well. It's so bad the guy now will even take 5k for a performance, for an artist of his class, this is demeaning" says Abbas' friend.

Talking of new rappers it is no secret that Abbas has a boiled stone on one Octopizzo, currently the top ranked and best selling rapper in Kenya. Octo supposedly dethroned Abbas as the hottest rapper in 254.

"If you notice,he has been ever dissing Octo, myself I don't like Octo but I tend to think Doobeez goes overboard, let the kid eat his cake,he took the throne, him and Bamboo even fabricated a beef with Octo to promote a new song, how desperate" says the friend.

Abbas still get shows no doubt about that but as NE learns, the fella is taking home peanuts, that is.if compared to his stature. "ma pima tu ndio zake siku hizi(he now takes a lot of cheap liquor)" discloses the friend.
