Following the fatal accident involving the Sacco's buses killing 14 people, government suspended the operations licence of the Sacco pending investigations and clearance from the traffic department.

However Nairobi Exposed can exclusively reveal that some of the buses are back on the roads having been repainted and names  change. As for case in study the name changed from Umoinner to urban and on a different route. This was spotted along Waiyaki way.

This an isolated case and could be more in the oven,as you'll see,the colour and design same but name different. One of the touts we talked to confirmed the trick.

  2. Urban Shuttle has been plying the Mombasa Road route for a very long time. Don't start creating fracas for legitimate business owners whose buses just slightly resemble those of Umoinner. Shame

  4. getting ummoiner buses out of our roads was not the solution, those buses do not belong to an individual n furthermore they have debts n instalments to meet monthly. Put yourself in their shoes" do u sacrifice life's savings coz of 1 rogue driver". Kenyans where r our priorities.
