The men in jungle are back on their main business away from the hammering in Kenya arising from looting allegations,Karangi boys are out to prove a point that they are the best disciplined force in the world as voted recently and amongst the top army forces in Africa.

After Kenya suffered fatalities and casualties in the Westgate siege by Al Shabaab, its now their turn to eat the bullets. KDF is seemingly out to neutralise them on their ground.

OPERATIONAL UPDATE AS AT 1ST NOVEMBER 2013, 0700HRS On 31 Oct 2013

KDF forces within AMISOM conducted a major aerial offensive on Al Shabaab location in the Dinsoor region in Somalia The airstrike completely destroyed an Al Shabaab training camp at Hurguun.

Initial reports from the ground confirmed that 4 technical vehicles and a weapons store were destroyed At the time of the airstrike, the camp had over 300 recruits, many of whom are believed to have perished, with many others suffering injuries.

The training camp has been used by Al Shabaab to train operatives some of whom are eventually infiltrated into the country.

The Westgate attackers received their training from this camp.

This offensive is a continuation of the Jillib attack where an Al Shabaab Commanders Abdullahi Ali aka Ante Ante and Abdi Fatah were killed Operations of this nature will be sustained into the future, and form part of a broader AMISOM effort in stabilizing Somalia.

They further complement operations being conducted by the Federal Government of Somalia&other allied forces to degrade Al Shabaab remnants.

Meanwhile, the KDF forces in Sector 2 are well and were part of the team that received Somali President to Kismayu on  31 October 2013,initial reports had it that the president had been kidnapped or killed him.

Go KDF!
