The party went out through the night with Jamaican reggae artist Tarus Riley being the main act of the night. Being a free event,many people turned up and despite the rains,party went on as planned with all artists taking on stage. The event was also being beamed live on Citizen TV all through till late into the night for those at home to follow as well.
Everyone came with their arsenal to rock the ground however it was gospel musician and award winner Daddy Owen who stole the show and become a trending topic on the social media.
He stepped up on stage spotting a blonde hairstyle and kicked off the performance normally,halfway into his moment,he decided to walk around the stadium going nearer to the podium where many were crowded.
In a philanthropic gesture he started off by throwing his shades into the crowd,then followed his belt,then shows,the sequence of giveaways was worrying as he performed his hit song Mbona.
The crowd was charging and he was giving away everything he had on his body. After the belt,shades,shoes were all gone,he did the unexpected of a gospel artist and stripped off his shirt and gave threw it into the crowd and it was after this when the show's producers had bile overflow,the fella was unstoppable,he had nothing on but his trouser on and this if anything to go by the sequence was the next online to go off.
Thank God it didn't get to that and the topless singer ran to the stage to wind up the performance with his bare chest exposed to the whole world. He was quickly given a shirt to cover up but it was already too late and he exited the stage topless with no shoes.
It wasn't only Daddy Owen who was bitten by the strippers bug,the subsequent performers the Sauti Sol were also on it and it was all shirts off,something noticeable nearly 80% of the crowd were men.
Owens stage performance got an explanation from a former musician and a media personality Gidi Gifi,"Kenya artist must know that once u get off stage u can't monitor yo self hence can't perform that's what happened to wyre n daddy Owen, Haiya Daddy Owen is performing bare chest.....He lost it when he went off stage it happens when u get off the monitors" explained Ogidi.
Safaricom live turned out to be stripping live last night. Anyhow,the performances were on spot. Happy Kenya at 50
