<p dir="ltr">The fate of the Director for Digital, New Media and Diaspora Affairs at State House hangs in the balance following a confidential intelligence report that questions his academic credentials and suitability to serve in a sensitive government office. </p>
<p dir="ltr">The National Intelligence Service (NIS)<br>
report seen by Sunday Nation alleges<br>
that Mr Dennis Itumbi is among 50<br>
students from Kenya Institute of Mass<br>
Communication (KIMC) in Nairobi whose qualifications are open to questions. </p>
<p dir="ltr">According to the NIS security vetting<br>
brief, Mr Itumbi allegedly led student<br>
unrest at the institution and used this<br>
as leverage to force the then management of the college led by Mr<br>
Eliud Sang to “award him and his class (of 50) Diplomas in Broadcast Journalism while they were enrolled to<br>
do a certificate course in the same”. “In 2001, he joined Kenya Institute of<br>
Mass Communication as a parallel<br>
student to pursue a certificate course in journalism. </p>
<p dir="ltr">He, however, was awarded<br>
a Diploma in Broadcast journalism in<br>
unclear circumstances,” says the brief. Mr Itumbi, who commands huge social<br>
media following and actively campaigned for the Jubilee coalition in<br>
the last elections, is among top advisers in the Presidential Strategic<br>
Communications Unit led by Mr Manoah Esipisu. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Mr Itumbi’s confirmation to hold the<br>
position of “director” is also still<br>
pending at the Public Service<br>
Commission (PSC). It is unclear whether this has anything to do with education qualifications as directors are expected to hold advanced degrees. </p>
<p dir="ltr">The NIS report has also attached Mr<br>
Itumbi’s PSC application for<br>
employment form. The document<br>
shows that apart from KIMC, he has only attended short courses at various<br>
institutions without indications of a bachelor’s degree. </p>
<p dir="ltr">The NIS report was circulated to PSC<br>
among other concerned institutions. The report alleges Mr Itumbi is a “self-<br>
motivated go getter who uses any<br>
means at his disposal . . . to get his<br>
way”. </p>
<p dir="ltr">The critical report also alleges that Mr<br>
Itumbi may have in the past been<br>
involved in leakage of classified<br>
documents through his Facebook page, Twitter handle, his blog and local media houses.</p>

Taking No Chances MAINA NJENGA REVAMPS His SECURITY With Over 50 Elite Heavily Armed Bodyguards

<p dir="ltr">The former leader of the outlawed Mungiki sect Maina Njenga is not taking chances with his security detail following an attempt on his life in which four other people in his company were killed.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Njenga who is adamant that the attempt on his life was orchestrated by forces within government through the police, arrived at the press conference organised by Cord recently with a security detail of over 30 bodyguards.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The bodyguards were dressed in navy blue suits, with pink shirts and blue neck ties.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Njenga escaped death by a whisker after the car he was travelling in was sprayed with bullets near AHITI Institute, around five kilometers from Nyahururu town along Nyahururu-Nairobi road. The attack on Njenga left his lover and four others dead.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Cord leader Raila Odinga and other leaders from the alliance while on a visit to Njenga at his Karen home were treated to an elaborate narration on how he escaped the firing and displayed his bullet ridden jacket. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Njenga has claimed he was shot with over 30 bullets and walked away alive. He still sticks to the claims that the government is out to kill him for refusing to record a statement with the ICC in the defence of Uhuru. </p>

<p dir="ltr">Kenyans online have gone berserk following a photo that has been doing rounds which appeared on dailies advertising a tender.</p>
<p dir="ltr">This tender advert by the ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government on one of the print dailies has left many in shock.</p>
<p dir="ltr">One of the tender description is for airlifting of Presidential speeches. To apply for that tender, a supplier would require a bid bond amount of Kshs 500,000.</p>
<p dir="ltr">A bid bond is a written undertaking issued by a Bank/Insurance firm on behalf of a customer (State House in this case). They are issued to support tenders for contracts made by suppliers. The tenderer is compensated amount specified if supplier is awarded but fails to take up the contract.</p>
<p dir="ltr">That means that if you as a supplier fail to deliver on airlifting those precious Presidential speeches, the government gets a cool half a million from your insurance company.</p>
<p dir="ltr">However this is not convincing, for a government which prides themselves as being digital how could they fail to adopt some super fast and less costly methods like using Emails? Or this could be one of the many oxygen supply schemes in the government. </p>

<p dir="ltr">There's a sickening trend emerging and going unnoticed in the streets of Nairobi. A gang is out there giving ladies hell of a time stripping them off their clothes for dressing 'Inappropriately' </p>
<p dir="ltr">One such irritated victim is Cathryn Wanjiru who works at a local bank in town, "i just can't believe such things are happening i never thought i would be subjected to such an embarrassment, i was walking along Accra Road hurrying to work before a group of 5 men approached me asking msichana mbona umevaa hivi mbona unatuonyesha nyama,unataka kutuua,nyinyi mumetuzoea na hii tabia mtakoma kutembea hapa uchi and before i knew it they were wrestling me down and striped me naked before disappearing into the corridors laughing " she narrated her encounter to Nairobi Exposed. </p>
<p dir="ltr">She had to be rescued by a well wisher who helped her with a shuka to cover up herself and had to buy new clothes immediately, lucky for her she had tightly clinched unto her handbag saving it from the gang. </p>
<p dir="ltr">A round check up done by Nairobi Exposed reveals that this gang has been terrorizing ladies and operating  along Tom Mboya Street between Odeon Cinema and Accra Road,striping  women naked in day light because of dressing indecently according to the idlers.
