The game rules may change, the players will be changed, the tactics gets sharpened up,the field may be different but one thing for sure, the game will still remain a game. KFC hit the Kenyan market less than two years back and has become favorite fast food stop amongst the middle class of Nairobi. Its considered to be the stylish and classy joint to hang out as compared to you know Sanford and the rest of group. NE has been receiving complaints from the premise's visitors as well as two other staff members of the same place, the deals and dirt's that have taken toll of the place. KFC has become the soft zone targeted by the ever evolving Nairobi con artists, how? Lets start with the following confessions
"....we agreed to meet with him at KFC for lunch and since that was deal even to save on my fare during lunch break,I went and met as agreed, made the  orders, the chicken bucket, chips and soda for the three of us,I had accompanied my friend to meet him since he was just an FB friend we were meeting first time,he was generous and encouraged us to take the much I wish,so we did. So as we are eating and chatting,he(Charles) asked if we also would love to have a part time job and since we in colle, side hustle wouldn't hurt so we said yes,he then asked me if I had credit in my phone, apparently he wanted to phone his boss to come and foot the bills, not that himself he couldn't afford to pay,but that his boss wanted him to do him some favors so he had to pay for it somehow,so this guy takes my phone and makes a call to the "boss" he gives him direction where we are, talking in English and stuff, then Charles suggests that he(boss)should just come and he will pick him up at the entrance to our table. He gives me back my phone after completing conversing. After like 5 minutes, the other guy now that's the "boss" calls so I hand over the phone to Charles since he called my number,he walks out leaving behind some diary and envelope, the last words heard him saying as he walked off(hey just come to the entrance I will see you) so we are sitting easy waiting for him to come back and nope,5....10.....15.....minutes and counting but this guy is no where to be seen. At about 30mins later my fears had been confirmed,I was conned. Let me not even narrate the ordeal I went through there. I logged in to my pals fb to check on the dude and he had blocked me. In the bustles, there is this waitress think her name is Cynthia, she came told me I ain't the first, these people have been playing that game for sometime, its hard to tell since they keep changing. Needless to say i'm typing this text using a Samsung torch while my Xperia is out there. Expose this NE and let girls be on the know, you don't wanna be in my shoes ever."
We initiated a contact with a worker at KFC who's identity we shall keep anonymous, through this we get to learn that the con men pick up girls especially from the social media(Facebook and twitter) and since their targets is the college going girl who won't resist a date at KFC and always has a classy phone, the game is made easy. From the victims ordeal,we realize they present themselves as working professionals and to a college chick, that's a jackpot package as she can pluck couple leaves off him. The charm is irresistible. The worker reveals to NE,"in a week we get like 4 cases averagely, they have mastered the trick and these girls I don't blame them, they just victims of falsehood. They cry here everyday, but us we can't interrogate or question every customer's intentions when they walk in,its up to everybody to take care of their property. There is a case here where some two young men also suffered the same case you were telling me about, meet the hot chic here, the same trick applied and he lost his S3 just like that, you can never tell just by looking that this is a con, that's why even us we can do less to the situation"
Matter of fact,in any deal you go into,if its too good to be true then just know the truth is not in the menu but falsehood served in plenty. Ladies and gentlemen I've done my part over to you now and be safe.

  1. KFC management should throw in a little help by installing hidden cameras.
