During the rescue missions where the officers were entrusted to bring the civilians out into safety,some other officer had ill motives and instead seized the moment to loot from the confusion

Constable Benson Gachuhi Kihenjo of Spring Valley Police Station was allegedly caught with a blood-stained wallet, credit cards, cheque
books and identifications documents belonging to a victim of the Saturday attack.

Amongst others stolen documents recovered from him includes an iPhone and passport photos of the victim. Also recovered in his house were several dollar bills.

He appeared before a Nairobi court where he denied the charges and is being held in custody.

The mall houses several banks and major business entities and suspicions of looting in this quagmire has been on the tick.

The rescue mission is off for now the trapped bodies is underway
