The Kenyan hiphop scene has for the past few times been undergoing upgrade. The new breed of rappers are putting the country in the African and the world's map in general.
Getting airplay in foreign media outlets and numerous interviews as well as recognitions its safe to say the new cats are doing good and the industry is in good hands.
News such as Rabbit working with major African rappers on his third release of ligi soo reloaded goes to show the growth levels the industry is beaming. Leading rappers including Octopizzo continues to conquer with his recent video Nini getting airplay play on Channel O.
Kaligraph Jones better known as Baba according to statistics is the second most of rappers getting airplay in Kenya. Kaligraph with his distinct and striking rap talent continues to take over. Recently appeared on a track with STL in the biashara remix.
Being an artist and not just a rapper,Kaligraph is always open to trying out new things and in the next project as he reveals to Nairobi Exposed is a song with Dola Kabari.
Dola is a Benga artist and it would be worth seeing the end product between benga and rap. Dola Kabari is the same artist who did the Adhiambo C hit song together with Duo Vultures(Nasty Thomas and Moustapha).
Apart from this Kaligraph is set to switch his game up and work on a song with a UK finest rapper. Though he isn't ready to admit it to the media and opts for the fans to keep guessing,he prefers to leave it at "it's a song with a UK rapper who has worked with Mavado)
But NE can confidently reveal the rapper he will be working with. According to a close confidant to Kaligraph he is set to record a song with Chipmunk who now prefers to be called Chip.
He is a UK rapper who is currently based in the USA and signed to rapper T.I's recording label Grand Hustle. Chip has done several hit songs with Mavado,,Chris Brown,Keri Hilson,T.I,Meek Mill,Lil Wayne amongst other leadinginternational rappers.
So by the best of the two worlds working together nothing but fireworks is anticipated. Let's see how this goes. Khaligraph feat Chipmunk it is.
