Railways Tender Mafias Lays Unsuccessful Assassination Attempt On Senator MOSES WETANGULA

Thursday evening at around 10:45pm,unknown hit men sprayed the senator's car with bullets but he luckily escaped. Wetangula had just arrived in the city from Mombasa and was picked from the airport by driver and an aide.

Just as they were making their way through to his Karen home and were Mbagathi way,just at the City Mortuary roundabout,gunmen from a car parked by the roadside seemingly timing and waiting for  him,sprayed his car with bullets.

Luckily,his experienced driver braved the incident and drove away both escaping unhurt. Going towards Ngong road,they reported the incident to the police at a road block and were then instructed to report the case to Kilimani police station.

Wetangula was quickly joined at the station with top CORD luminaries led by Raila Odinga,they both condemned the attack. The senator elect on his side,described the incident an assassination attempt from the Railway tender mafias that he might have rubbed the wrong way in his recent sentiments terming it the Kenyans biggest corruption scandal.

“I take this as an assassination attempt. The.police have to move with speed and open investigations into the matter.”

He admitted to have received life threats severally and knew more specifically what it had to do with,“After I spoke about rail tender, an
anonymous person called and warned me against speaking ill of the rail tender.”

Police have promised to move with speed into the matter.
