Strathmore Student Develops App To Help Find Your Hiding Phone Simply By Whistling

It happens to us all the times, you misplace your phone in the house, office, bag or wherever you put it and fail to remember. Due to lack of command or inability to speak out one is left with the frustration of turning the house upside down looking for the hiding phone.

Kevin Omyonga, a third year student, Bachelor of Business in Information Technology (BBIT) at Strathmore university has developed the best app that runs on Android OS which will mean goodbye to the dark old days.

Whistle flare which can be downloaded freely on google playstore works such that if you can't remember where you put your phone all you have to do is whistle and the phone wherever it is will ring. The app uses the phones microphone which picks up sound signal when the owner whistles and then rings with the default ringtone.

He was motivated during a free time at home when his mother would constantly misplace her phone, turn handbag in out, ransacking the house, using his basic Java skills he developed the app within four days.

Say bye to those frustrating days,if you can't find that hiding phone just whistle or if you can't the app has a clapping option, clap and viola, the phone will ring wherever it is.
