Typical: Photos Of NAIROBIANS Scooping Spilt OIL From Overturned TANKER Along MOMBASA Road

Around 3am Thursday morning a big oil tanker ferrying crude material for refining cooking oil lost control and overturned along Mombasa road near general motors blocking the road and causing a traffic nightmare that forced pedestrians going to work take on their feet.

However, despite the glaring dangers, residents from the surrounding area took the incident to their advantage, scooping the spilt crude oil which now formed a stream. The police watched helplessly as they made their endangered kill.

This is not the first time such scramble is happening, previously an oil spill happened in Syokimau and locals took advantage by syphoning, the rush turned tragic and many people were killed and bruised the same happened in Molo where more than 100 lives were lost with victims burnt beyond recognition. Do Kenyans ever learn?
