Real Madrid player Christiano Ronaldo finally was announced the winner in a hotly contested award that saw Lionel Messi,Frank Ribbery battle out for the top spot as the FIFA's Ballon d'Or player of the year 2013.

Ronaldo takes away the crown from Messi who has been owning the title four years in a row. Ronaldo was accompanied with his son and wife to the ceremony and when he went up.after being announced the winner,his acceptance speech got too emotional as tears of joy uncontrollably flooded down his cheeks.
