CORD Sunday In Kibera kicked off a series rallies across the country in what they termed as a move to prepare to take over the leadership of the country.

The leaders drawn from ODM and Wiper took a swipe at the Jubilee coalition saying that it was unable to govern the country due to insecurity, tribalism and corruption among other reasons.

The senators and MPs, speaking at a rally in Kibera said that the government had failed Kenyans and reversed gains made by the country through “fraudulent back room deals”.

They also declared that the Kamukunji rally was just the beginning of countrywide rallies, saying that they will no longer sit back and watch the country being led astray.

Mombasa senator Hassan Omar castigated the government for its plans to pay Anglo leasing contracts and wondered whom the government was planning to pay.

“He (President) said: ‘won’t pay, can’t pay’ now he says he wants to pay. There is a sinister motive in this plan to pay Anglo Leasing,” said Mr Omar.

Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale announced that he had joined the able team of Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of the next general election.

Khalwale in his address warned Uhuru that he'll mobilize parliamentarians and the Senate to impeach and book him out of power as he is proving to be incompetent.

Siaya senator James Orengo said Kenyans will force the change that they are yearning for saying that they have those powers in the Constitution “We do not want an election because we know they will steal it but the Constitution says power belongs to the people and it is time we took it back,” he said. "PEOPLE CAN FORCE CHANGE "he stressed to the cheering crowd pointing at a revolution.

At the same time, 31st May has been declared a national 'holiday ' at the rally as millions will be welcoming back home their president Raila who has been on an extended stay in Boston, USA.

What do you think of CORD's plan for a revolution and impeaching Uhuru, will it materialize?
