Siaya Senator, James Orengo, on Thursday night escaped death by a whisker after a helicopter carrying him together with Suna East MP, Junet Mohamed, was forced to make an emergency landing in Kilgoris town.

A visibly shaken Orengo who was shedding tears said they were headed for Migori from Nairobi to prepare for a CORD rally to be addressed by CORD politicians led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula, today.

Orengo also told journalists that their helicopter was forced to land due to bad weather conditions and praised their pilot for handling the issue in a confident and calm manner.

However, the two resumed their journey today in the morning and they arrived in Migori safely.
