Fresh from the unfortunate event that one journalist Willis Raburu revealed the identity of witness 536 whom the prosecutor and the ICC opted to protect from the public through various disguising mechanisms, another thing checks in.

While its still not verified yet on the validity of the name he supposedly tweeted, reports reaching NE have it that the named woman is in Kenya as opposed to the belief that she is in Hague appearing as a witness.

As a right of reply Willis Raburu this morning released a statement disowning the tweet and instead alleges his twitter account was hacked and the perpetrator sent the contested tweet. This is nothing but a PR gimmick that the journalist is playing instead of owning up and apologize.

On that note we are going to release the evidence beyond any reasonable doubt that it was Willis himself who sent the tweet and therefore claims that he was hacked are nothing but kicks of a dying horse.

The tweet in question was sent at 07:06pm on 17/09/2003 from @WillisRaburu handle. Take note of the time embedded on the tweet

The next tweet from the account was sent to fellow journalist Francis Gachuri at exactly 07:09pm 17/09/2003. Here is the screenshot (take note of time embedded)

So by Willis claiming that his account was hacked he is implying it happened between 07:06-07:09 simple calculation says within these three minutes his account had been hacked and he got control back.

The witness expose tweet was deleted by Willis immediately after this

As the twitter streets was getting hot and people attacking Willis from both corners he tried playing smart. Having deleted the tweet he thought he was safe. What followed was a string of inspirational tweets perhaps to assume the burning fire on the background

But even this didn't work, people were still hammering him for the unethical act. The next move he pulled was disowning the tweet saying it didn't originate from him and that he merely retweeted it.

People didn't buy into his flimsy excuse and so again he was there assuming the situation by sending football tweets, mind you this is the person claiming his account was hacked.

With nothing positive forthcoming and no one buying into his excuses,Raburu sent the statement this morning with the hacking allegations. If you were really hacked and such a sensitive information sent from your account wouldn't it be fair enough to report it to the CID for investigations? I suppose yes. Do it if you are genuine about it.

Now you have the truth you can decide on who to believe,Raburu or the facts before you.

    1. No way, Raburu is intelligent enough not to expose an ICC witness. If a witnes's identity has been exposed ask Icc and the defence team and not a mere journalist.

  2. If this was not done by a Kenyan journalist it would have been an amazing act of idiocy bordering on lunacy! But as it is, it's hardly surprising right down to the 'exactly similar' gaffe.
Thanks for the research...you must have quite a bit of time on your hands though!
